My mother grew up in Turkey and emigrated to Germany when she was 20 years old. In 2020, she had to leave her home once more: My father’s debts forced them to leave their apartment. Suddenly, my mother had to rebuild her life again, faced by the difficult conditions in a country whose language she still speaks poorly. To gain a better understanding of her feelings, I started to catch up on her past.
